4th 8bit gun.

The sound of a laser.

A laser noise created for my science fiction sitcom. The base was just a note from a vst synth (i can't remember which) and then a variety of pitch shifts, time stretches and layers of reverb until it sounded right.

I made this weird sound in fl studio. I don't remember what synth i used to make the sound, but the rhythm was made using a gross beat preset. I hope you like it!.

A recording of an air rifle being shot in a valley. Recorded on a zoom h4n pro about 5-10 metres in front of the barrel, facing away from the rifle. Edited in audacity. I love the crackle as the shot breaks the sound barrier. Could be slowed down to make it sound like a larger weapon, or maybe even used as an impulse response. Made in ableton live, layered and processed together and assembled into a loop resembling automatic fire. Couple single shots with minor pitch differences in there for bonus.

This is a slightly modified version of my original smg gunshot. It's been changed to sound a little more cinematic.

So one of tac0's friends came by with a civilian style contact stun gun and tac0 does what he does best, blasts it a small room for 1/10 of a second. Mp3 48,000 hz at 256 kbps. Also commonly and incorrectly referred to as a "taser" which is on the same level as calling a magazine a "clip". See google for more info. I can't help that it sounds like a bee. Also if it's too short, you'll have to make it longer in your daw. Uses (apart from videos that involve a stun gun or maybe a real taser brand taser): magic lighting zaps? a game show buzzer?. Possible vst modifications. Reverb: sound impulses for speakers. Distortion (guitar style): military style radio noise. Chorus/flange: science sounding things. Pitch: at -30 semitones you get some low pitched sound similar to a airsoft aeg which may be ideal for montage airsoft videos where piles of tokyo marui m4s traditionally muffled by the gopro waterproof case. // at -45 semitones you resemble gun fire at a distance. Mathematically at 10 rps (600 rpm) you could use this as a sit in for a distant fired ak-47 rifle ideal for video games, war movies, mods, etc. Apply a resonant filter and some reverb for appropriate outdoor acoustics. And nobody will know your distant machine gun sound was a civilian stun gun except for us semi colon right parenthesis. Or you could also apply ringmod at ~9000 hz to simulate ear ringing for those ptsd scenes. Trimming + looping + pitch: if you can loop this properly in a daw you could even create a saw style bass for electronic dance music.

Shell casings being dropped onto a tiled floor. I got some shell casings from a local shooting range and recorded the sound of various sized casings bouncing on a tiled floor. I used a usb condenser mic (samson co1u pro) with audacity. The section of floor i dropped the shells onto was surrounded by acoustic panels to dampen the echos. A couple times the casing bounced into the mic stand, but i've left them in because they're still useful. There was some background noise caused by my computer which i removed with audacity.

Explosion sound created using a zoom h1 and tempering with metal fibers near the mic capsules. Added verb and pop compression for better flexibility. A quick gunshot i made in logic pro 9 out of a few sound effects and a recording of a snap of my carabiner that i recored off my iphone.

I mixed the sound of a rifle and a pistol, slowed one down greatly, and enhanced the low-end a bit.

A pretty cheesy laser gun sound, created and manipulated from a zipper and sticky-tape and something else - i forget.

Large laser cannon.

A very brief combat zone background clip. It was made to be played very low in the background, just to support the foreground action of a short transitional scene. So there is not a lot of in-your-face action. Mostly a rolling rumble to represent distant off screen elements, and mid-distant small arms fire.
